Bursting the Bubble of the Busy Bees
This was a 5-minute Lightning Talk I presented for the XP 2020 Conference in June 2020. It would have been in Copenhagen but, due to Covid, they adapted and held the conference online instead. To avoid technical difficulties, we were asked to record our sessions ahead of time. I wanted to focus on mindset rather than something technical. My talk focused on accomplishing great things rather than trying to complete several small tasks that do not add value.

Agile for Non-IT
I made this talk when I worked at Hutchison Drei in December 2018. The company was relatively new with Agile. There were several departments that were curious about Agile but they were unsure of how to start. In this presentation, I discussed what Agile is and what it is not, Agile values and principles, and 4 easy steps to get started.

Women in Agile
I like to explore ways to have more women represented in my field. I came across the
Women in Agile organization and I was impressed. Their purpose is simple but powerful.
"Women in Agile is a collective effort to recruit, network, promote, and support the work of outstanding women in the agile community through blogging, speaking at events, and building a network surrounded by people of all genders."
I encourage you to visit their site, learn more and join the community.
I knew I wanted to do something to partner up with them but I was not sure how that would look. We were able to find a mutually beneficial time to speak with Leslie Morse for their Women in Agile Podcast Series In December 2019. She was an absolute pleasure and made the process feel very natural.
I invite you listen at your convenience on the Women in Agile podcast series by clicking
here. We talked about how I got started with Agile, my experiences as a Scrum Master and Agile Coach, and the origins of my book I published in January 2019 called Failing at Agile Transformation: How to Sabotage Your Agile Journey.
